Theatrical set designer Michael Hotopp branches out from Broadway into commercial work, founding Hotopp Creative Studio.
In each era of Hotopp history, we followed our hearts and made the most of the scenic project du jour. There was a time when that translated to making and producing rad TV studio sets, theatrical elements for corporate events, or industrial musicals.
A lot goes through your head when you turn 40. You reflect on where you’ve been, what you’ve done, and where you’re going. Through that self-reflection, we knew it was time to evolve. In 2024, Hotopp became Analog Heart; an authenticity-driven experiential creative studio making heartfelt experiences that bring people together.
Pushing the limit of what we can achieve for over 40 years is a testament to all the people that have led the charge, passing the baton from one to the next. Change is hard, but we wouldn’t be where we are today without their pioneering spirit. We still run on a full tank of that original desire to find new, challenging adventures; it propels us to give life to people’s ideas, and it’s why we are Analog Heart today.
So, here’s to (Bowie voice) changes. Here’s to the past forty years and the next forty.
We are endlessly curious about people’s ideas, and we build them up by bringing our own to the table. Openness allows us to be our authentic selves while being receptive to change.
We see each obstacle as an opportunity and each solution as a promise to see it through—wherever it leads. We work collaboratively to define a creative vision and pursue it relentlessly.
At our core, we are creative problem solvers—empowered by our imaginations to put one foot in front of the other through the knowns and unknowns of each project.
Our passion is the journey, not the destination. We strive to see every situation through the eyes of others and treat them as they want to be treated.
