What if the hieroglyphs were graphics?
When you put on a festival every five years, your guests have the right to expect something amazing at showtime. The International Pathfinder Camporee’s vision for their flagship 2024 event was amazing and then some. A 10-day event, Camporee 2024’s programming was centered around a core story: a large-scale theatrical production telling the story of Moses, set against the backdrop of an Egyptian landscape.
Theater is our first love, so we dove into this near-Broadway-level production headfirst. As the project took flight, so did our scope. In conversation with rigging and lighting teams, we dressed the set with Egyptian-inspired graphic design elements that clocked in at over 200 feet long. To capture the crowd, we crafted landscapes in Unreal Engine that deepened the world of the production. And of course, we came up with some rad content-based magic to interpret the parting of the Red Sea.
